The record number of entries from five continents and a very high standard set a challenging task for our judging team.

The shortlisted stories include entries from United kingdom, Ireland, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia and Japan

In view of both the number and standard  of entries, it has been decided that all the Highly Commended stories will be included in the anthology together with the top three places.

AWARD CEREMONY  The Winners and Highly Commended entrants will be celebrated at an award ceremony broadcast on Estuary TV on 14th December at the University Centre Grimsby. All entrants, friends and family, together with Hammond House members are welcome. Full details here.

BOOK LAUNCH  The award ceremony will be combined with a launch of the anthology, including dedications and signings by the authors and competition judges. Pre-ordered copies of the anthology can be collected at the event.

Feedback, for those who requested it, will be completed by 31st January 2016.

Don't be disappointed if your entry is not included in the winners. The response was huge and the standard was high. The 2017 UCG International Literary Award which opens on 1st January 2017 will have bigger prizes and more opportunities for publication. Full details will be announced at the award ceremony on 14th December and posted to the website.
